SMS / RCS Messaging Policy

This policy explains how Ctrl Strategies ("we," "us," or "our") collects consent, sends text messages (SMS and RCS), and honors opt-out requests. It applies to all messages sent from numbers we operate on behalf of Ctrl Strategies.

Summary. We only send text messages to people who have given us explicit, informed consent. We never buy or rent phone lists. You can reply STOP at any time to stop all messages.

1. How You Opt In

We collect your consent to send you SMS/RCS messages in the following ways:

  • Website contact form: When you fill out a contact form on ctrlstrategies.com, you check an unchecked-by-default box that reads: "I agree to receive text messages from Ctrl Strategies about my inquiry, appointment reminders, and service updates. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help." The form cannot be submitted without this box checked.
  • Consultation / booking: When you book a free consultation or sign up for a service, you provide your phone number and explicitly consent to SMS at the time of booking, with the same disclosure language above.
  • Direct request: When you ask us to text you by phone, email, or in person, and we record the request and disclosure in our CRM.

We store a record of every opt-in, including the date and time of consent, the IP address or channel of consent, the source form, and the exact disclosure text you agreed to.

2. What We Send

Messages from Ctrl Strategies are limited to:

  • Responses to inquiries you submit through our website
  • Appointment reminders and confirmations for consultations you have booked
  • Service updates related to campaigns or projects we are managing for you
  • Account-related notifications (invoices, contract updates, billing)
  • Occasional customer service follow-ups

We do not send unsolicited promotional messages. We do not send content prohibited by carrier policies (e.g., SHAFT: sex, hate, alcohol, firearms, tobacco; gambling; illegal substances; high-risk financial services).

3. Message Frequency and Rates

Message frequency varies based on your relationship with us. Most recipients receive fewer than 4 messages per month. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Ctrl Strategies does not charge for messages.

4. How to Opt Out

You can stop receiving messages from Ctrl Strategies at any time. Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any message you receive from us. You will receive one final confirmation message:

"You've successfully unsubscribed from Ctrl Strategies texts. You will no longer receive messages from this number. Reply START to resubscribe or HELP for help."

After you opt out, your number is flagged in our CRM and we will not send you any further messages from that sender. If you want to opt back in, reply START or contact us at info@ctrlstrategies.com.

6. Privacy

Your phone number and message content are stored securely in our CRM and are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your personal data.

Phone numbers collected for SMS are used only for the purposes described in this policy and are never used for unrelated marketing.

7. Supported Carriers and Delivery

Message delivery depends on your carrier and device. Ctrl Strategies is not liable for delays or failures caused by carrier issues, service outages, or device problems outside our control.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this SMS Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes to how we collect consent or what we send will be communicated in a follow-up message to current subscribers.
